About this blog. . .

I grew up visiting the same vacation spots year after year with my parents, hiking in the Appalachian Mountains, weekends in Savannah, Georgia, repeat.  Once every 5 or so years we would go somewhere new and exciting, like visiting where my parents grew up in Wisconsin.  I love my parents, but when I turned 18 and discovered the ability to travel on my own, both inside and outside the US, I traveled every time an opportunity arose that I could afford.  At 18, that was not a lot, but I persisted and now 8 years later I maintain that original travel plan: travel whenever I can wherever I can.  This blog is about some of the places I have visited in my travels.  It is a mix of my stories, opinions, and required logistics.  The locations are a mix of places I have visited in road trips, by airplane, on cruises, and more rarely by train.  I may even add a staycation or two.  Most post feature my boyfriend and long time travel partner David, but also thrown in the mix are trips I've taken for work, with family, or with friends.

The Navigation Bar on the right of this page has links to blog posts specific for all of the countries, US states, national parks, and cruise ports I've been to.  The Navigation Bar also has a subscribe link  which can be used to sign up for email updates whenever a new post goes live.
